in Federal Business Process Management:

Following the success of the of first two breakfast briefings, the final in the series focuses on understanding the role of BPM within OMB and business transformation mandates, strategies developing and managing successful enterprise architecture programs, as well as where the industry is going with business transformation and business process management.

Participants will learn firsthand about case studies, examples, and strategies for realizing real results quickly, through the opportunities BPM offers for enabling rapid application development. In a highly-interactive program of short presentations and round-table discussion, participants will explore the best ways to see real results in their agencies and organizations.

The program will feature a series of short presentations covering specific federal initiatives and methods for introducing BPM into organizations and agencies, followed by an interactive round-table discussion and Q&A session.

Participants will have the opportunity to directly engage peers and industry leaders on how to leverage a BPM-based approach for realizing short-time results, while setting the stage for long-term value.

Presenters include Mr. Stephen Lowe, SRA International's Senior Enterprise Architect providing thought leadership in the implementation and performance of public sector business and technology solutions. He is the former the Chief Architect at the US Library of Congress, Congressional Research Service, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He has served on the leadership group of the federal Chief Architect Forum, the CIO Council's Architecture and Infrastructure Committee, and has completed a job detail with the Federal Enterprise Architecture Program Management Office of OMB where he designed and developed the original OMB Enterprise Architecture Assessment tool. He also cooperatively developed and teaches in the USDA Graduate School Enterprise Architecture Certificate program.

Also presenting is Dr. David Webber, Enterprise Architect and Project Manager for U.S. government agencies and a highly respected XML visionary. David is currently working as a consultant to the US Government for eHealthcare applications of XML and ebXML. He is also developing open source eVoting technologies. Known as a innovator David has been the genesis of a wide range of world leading solutions. David is chairing a new OASIS Technical Committee developing Content Assembly Mechanism specifications and is a co-author of a book from New Riders Press on "ebXML: The New Global Standard". David has helped to lead the development and deployment of semantic registry systems by government and industry organizations and on automotive industry applications of business process technology.
